This midship weight bimetal model is based on the popular "Phenom" from YoYoJam's later lineup, and offers improved performance.
In the story, it is born when the main character's model, Eclipse Ogre, combines with "Phenom" from YoyoJam, a company that appears in the story as a "legendary yo-yo manufacturer." When Phenom was actually released in 2010, the word "bimetal" had not even been coined yet, but it was one of the company's most beloved bimetal models, and the passion of Sturmpanzer helped it evolve.
The design concept is based on the Phenom derivative model "Phenom T", which is designed to lighten the center and increase the weight of the outermost part. From there, the midship weight is shifted closer to the outer periphery and the overall size is enlarged, which adds stability and sleep extension to the unique light operability. The combo continues tenaciously and comfortably until the very end.
In addition, to recreate the feel of the old Phenom, the mirror caps are the same as those used back then, and were made by ZhaoYuan Liu, also known as "PHENOM guy" and a member of Team YoYoJam.
At the end of Sturm Panzer Storybook Volume 12, there is an article called "All About YoYoJam 1998-2001" that is full of information about YoYoJam models before they adopted the Size C bearing. It's packed with information that even people who played yo-yos back then wouldn't know.
This model will surely bring back fond memories for generations who grew up with YoYoJam, and is a fitting culmination of a final chapter that brings together the old and new.
Weight is measured without the cap. With the cap on, the weight is about 69g.
・The bearings are "Awakened Bearings" exclusive to Awakened Eclipse Ogre. There are no plans to sell the bearings separately.
・In order to maximize the performance of the product, we recommend replacing the bearings with high-performance bearings such as Dif-e-Yo Concave Bearings. Please replace the bearings at your own risk.
・The axle is a stainless steel axle M4 x 8 mm. Please adjust the position or replace it at your own risk.
- Regarding rotational shake, we only ship lenses that have been determined to have no problems after a rotational accuracy check before the mirror cap is attached.
The presence and degree of rotational shake is based on the manufacturer's standards. The mirror caps can be removed using the included suction cups, but we recommend using them to obtain the intended performance and feeling.
- Small scratches, stains, color unevenness, processing marks, etc. may occur during the manufacturing, assembly, and shipping processes, but these are part of the product specifications.
