What is a bind yoyo?
A bind is a technique used to return a stuck yo-yo to your hand.
A yo-yo that is designed to be bound is called a "bind yo-yo" or "bind specification."
Bind yo-yos have a wider gap, which allows for a much longer spin time and eliminates the worry of the yo-yo coming back during a trick.
This makes advanced tricks incomparably easier than with pull-back yo-yos!
Being able to bind using a "bind yo-yo" is an important step forward.
Here we will introduce the points to consider when choosing a bind yo-yo and some recommended yo-yos.
Bind Yoyo Usage Guidelines
→Junior high school students and adults can learn the basics quickly. It is more cost-effective to choose a high-performance bind model from the beginning!
If you are in elementary school or younger and can easily hold the sleeper for 10 seconds, you'll be fine!→There are differences depending on age and your level of skill with yo-yos, so if you're unsure whether you can do it well, try the sleeper with a pull-back model first!
There are many different styles (ways of playing) with yo-yos, but most people who play with modern yo-yos, adults and children alike, have mastered the bind technique. Even children in the early grades of elementary school have mastered the bind technique. It may be confusing at first, but most people in junior high school and above can properly put their yo-yo to sleep after just a few tries, so if you get used to the bind technique from the beginning, which allows you to sleep several times longer, it will be easier to learn simple and difficult tricks.
Please see this page for a detailed explanation of how to bind.
Metal yo-yos spin much stronger and are more stable than plastic models. Of course, it can be dangerous if a child swings it around without knowing what it's doing, but if you know how to use a yo-yo correctly, metal models can be a powerful ally for a variety of tricks.
What is needed for the binding model?
Replacement String
Of course, a spare string is essential for bind yo-yos. Be sure to have a spare string ready. In recent years, thicker strings have been recommended for bind models. We recommend bind strings that are adjusted for learning binds!

String trick oil
Most bind yoyo bearings are dry bearings (bearings that have no oil injected into them).
Dry bearings have a longer sleep time, so some players who take part in competitions choose to use dry bearings.
However, since bearings are not meant to be used in a non-oil state, using them as dry bearings will significantly shorten their lifespan.
Especially since modern yo-yos spin at high speeds, the bearings can easily break...
Adding half a drop to a drop of string trick oil to the bearings will protect them and make them spin smoother, helping them last longer.
Rewind does not recommend use with dry bearings.
One will last you a long time, so use it for string tricks before playing with your yo-yo.
I recommend YYF Dark Matter Lube . It has a slightly unusual usage, but it protects the bearings reliably and keeps them performing well.

Replacement Pads
Most bind yoyos use pads for response .
The pads are also consumables, and as you use your yo-yo they will wear down and become less effective at returning the stroke.
Throwing the yo-yo can put strain on your arm, so be sure to have extra pads on hand.
Also, the size of the pads varies depending on the yo-yo.
Be sure to check the "Details" and "Response System" on the yo-yo product page and use the appropriate pad.
It may also be displayed under Related Products on the right side of the product page.

I recommend this hotel!
- Junior high school and above! I want to start with something more proper, not something for kids.
- I used to play yo-yo! I've perfected the basic throwing technique!
- Even though he's still a child, he's perfect at pulling back the sleeper! It's time to step up!
- There are so many metal yo-yos it's hard to choose...I don't want to make a mistake when choosing a yo-yo!
Once you've chosen your yo-yo, all that's left to do is practice!
If you have any questions after receiving your yo-yo, please refer to "Before you start playing yo-yos", "Tricks" and "Maintenance". If you still have questions, ask on the "Forum"! You might even make some yo-yo friends.
