Yoyorecreation's first off-string yo-yo, the Maestro.
This is the signature model of Naoto Okada, the younger brother of our store staff member Kazuki Okada, the 2009 and 2011 4A World Champion, and a professional yo-yo performer.
The body is made from precision machined Delrin and inherits the low-edge step shape that was a feature of the yo-yo recreation models. However, that is only the profile seen from the side where the bearings are visible, and the side of the body has a unique Maestro shape. In the string trick line, the outer circumference of the body was usually extremely thick, but for off-string tricks, the Maestro has been refined to have a gentle curve like a parabolic antenna. This is because when it comes to large yo-yos, if the weight is too far to the outside, the rotation tends to become unstable. In order to suppress this, the weight is evenly distributed around the body, solving the weight balance problem while also succeeding in giving it one of the longest sleep and power of any off-string yo-yo to date.
It's a yo-yo that's especially suited to connecting various trick elements with one throw, like Naoto's style of long, bouncy combos and recapture combos. Also, by attaching pads of different thicknesses, you can fine-tune the gap.
